Greencroft Goshen hosts nature event for residents and their families

Greencroft Goshen invites residents and their family members to attend Summerfest on Tuesday, July 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This private event, hosted on campus and organized by the Greencroft Goshen Environmental Committee, is a celebration of nature, community, and connection.

Guests can enjoy self-guided tours, walking or utilizing golf cart transportation through the campus grounds, featuring blooming wildflowers, buzzing beehives, bluebird boxes, a butterfly garden, perennial and annual beds, resident-tended gardens, a gazebo, and the pond overlook. Highlights also include newly planted trees, woodlands, and pontoon boat rides for a unique view of the natural beauty on campus.

“We’re excited to share the beauty of Greencroft Goshen with our residents and their families,” said Gene Yoder, Summerfest Planning Committee Chair and former Greencroft Communities CEO. “Summerfest is a joyful expression of our care for both community and creation.”

Environmental exhibits will be on display from organizations including the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Goshen Department of Environmental Resilience, the Bodewadmi-Myaamia Trail, and the Greencroft Goshen Environmental Committee.

Live music throughout the day will feature performances by Bonnie Bailey, Brian Mireau, Todd Yoder on the bagpipes, and Sam Troyer on the harmonica. Complimentary snacks will be available at the picnic pavilion. Please note: this event is not open to the public and is exclusively for residents of Greencroft Goshen and their families.
