Greencroft Goshen Earns 'Best Nursing Home 2022' Designation
Newsweek recently named the Greencroft Goshen Healthcare in Goshen, Indiana as a “Best Nursing Home” for 2022.
The ranking was released on the Newsweek website at the end of September and was published in the latest Newsweek magazine.
The Best Nursing Homes 2022 ranking lists the best nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest population size according to the United States Census Bureau. America’s Best Nursing Homes 2022 highlights the nation’s top 450 nursing homes out of 11,849 analyzed. The list evaluates the best nursing homes according to key performance data, peer recommendations, and the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Newsweek partners with Statista to design a rigorous methodology that provides scoring for every evaluated nursing home and the scores were based on three key indicators:
Performance Data: the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMAS) provides monthly performance data for each nursing home according to health inspections, quality measures and staffing.
Reputation Survey: In cooperation with Newsweek, Statista invited over 10,000 medical experts – including registered nurses, nursing home managers and administrators, nursing assistants, therapists, and physicians – to complete an online survey that assessed nursing homes.
COVID-19 Response: Each nursing home’s response to the pandemic was evaluated according to its Resident Impact, Facility Capacity and Personnel, Supplies and Personal Protective Equipment, and Vaccination Rates of Residents.
