Two celebrations planned for Hamilton Grove’s 100th year

We’ll celebrate Hamilton Grove’s 100 years of service this year with two special events, a Women of Courage Gala in March, and an Ox-Roast styled Fall Festival in September.

The Gala will have a 1920’s feel as we honor the courage of Arminia Hubbard, who donated her family’s farm to create the Haven Hubbard Memorial Old People’s Home in 1922. Arminia was fulfilling her late husband Haven’s dream to provide housing for the elderly.

Her story and the stories of other courageous women – past and present – will be shared at the Gala on Friday, March 11, at Monroe’s Crossing in New Carlisle. The evening will feature dinner, live music, a silent auction, and a cash bar.

Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased online by clicking here. The cost is $50 for one person or $500 for a table of eight. As a Table Sponsor, you’ll be invited to submit a story and photo about a courageous woman in your life. Your table will be decorated in her honor, and her name and story will be included in the gala slideshow.

The Fall Festival will be on campus in September and will be styled after the historic ox roasts, with food, games, and fellowship. Stay tuned for more information about this fun event.

Funds raised at these two events will kick off a campaign to create a Woodland Trail and Park on the Hamilton Grove property for the enjoyment of residents and the community.
