A Fresh Taste: Greencroft and NEXDINE Redefine Resident Dining

Something meaningful is taking shape across northern Indiana. In the vibrant communities of Timbercrest, Golden Years, and Greencroft Goshen, change is happening, not just in the kitchens, but in the hearts of residents and colleagues alike. It’s a story about more than dining. It’s about partnership, purpose, and the power of hospitality to bring people together.

At the center of this story is Greencroft Communities’ new partnership with NEXDINE Hospitality. Known as the brand that creates amazing experiences, NEXDINE is helping to redefine what dining can be by focusing not only on what’s on the plate, but on the connections created around the table.

More Than a Transition. A Transformation.

The journey began this summer, starting at Timbercrest in June, expanding to Golden Years in July, and with Greencroft Goshen on deck for September. Each location is unique, but the shared goal is the same: to elevate the everyday through food, service, and experiences that feel personal, joyful, and full of possibility.

“We weren’t just looking for a vendor,” shared Hugh Davis, President and CEO of Greencroft. “We were looking for a partner who understands who we are and where we want to go. With NEXDINE, that partnership has already begun
to thrive.”

Grounded in Culture. Guided by Values.

From the beginning, it was clear that this was a cultural fit. Both organizations share a strong sense of mission, a belief in the importance of hospitality, and a deep respect for every individual. That alignment is fueling a refreshingly collaborative rollout where everyone feels part of the process, from dining colleagues
to residents.

At Timbercrest, the shift was felt immediately with fresh, seasonal ingredients, open communication, and early signs of a new hospitality-forward experience. Cooking demos and co-created menus are already setting the tone, making food feel more personal.

Golden Years and Greencroft Goshen are following closely, with exciting plans already in motion. This includes the introduction of TASTEFUL, NEXDINE’s signature wellness and engagement program featuring nutrition education, cultural food events, themed dining, and interactive experiences that invite residents into the joy of dining again.

Elevating People and Purpose

At the heart of this transformation is a deep respect for people. NEXDINE believes in building up colleagues through leadership training, inclusive on-boarding, and clear career pathways that help hospitality professionals thrive.

“We’re not here to replace. We’re here to uplift,” says Andre M. Alexandre, Vice President of Growth. “These communities have history, heart, and heritage. Our role is to help elevate what already makes them special.”

A Vision for What’s Next

Looking ahead, the partnership will continue to evolve with plans for wellness-focused grab-and-go markets, refreshed dining venues, expanded catering services, and lifestyle programming that reflects the tastes of today’s and tomorrow’s residents. While the journey is just beginning, the impact is already visible: stronger colleague engagement, greater resident involvement, and a shared excitement about what’s possible when hospitality is rooted in purpose. Because at NEXDINE, it’s never just about the food. It’s about making every day better, together.
