Job Description:

Job Description:

To maintain sanitary condition of tableware and working area, and to ensure sufficient quantities of cleaned tableware are available to meet meal schedules.

Duties include:

  • Clean dishes, glassware and silverware by hand or by machine.
  • Receive tableware from dining and residents’ rooms, or stacks tableware on a carrier for transporting to dishwashing room.
  • Arrange dining tables and chairs.
  • May set up individual servings of dry cereal, make toast and coffee and assist in cutting, peeling and washing fruits and vegetables.
  • Assist in maintaining a sanitary dietary department, including sweeping, mopping and assigned cleaning duties.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate dishwashing machine.
  • Brief on-the-job training will be required.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.

Job Description:

To perform day-to-day Laundry duties in accordance with policies and procedures, and as may be directed, to assure that facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner, and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Duties include:

  • Follow established policies and procedures to ensure the safety and sanitation of the facility.
  • Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned. Perform specific and assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collect and sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers.
  • Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments to residents daily.
  • Press/iron garments as instructed.
  • Clean floors (sweep, dust, wet mop, vacuum carpet), walls, and dirtied equipment using proper cleaning/disinfectant solutions.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
