Duties include:

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field desired.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description:

Southfield Village is a not-for-profit, continuing care living community located in South Bend, IN. We are looking for a team member to oversee accounts payable, cash receipts and the billing of our private pay residents. Previous long-term care and Medicaid experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel required.

Duties include: (not limited to)

  • Provide for backup, direction and supervision of the Receptionist and Weekend Receptionists.
  • Responsible for the hiring, discipline, and performance reviews of above stated positions.
  • Provides support to the Operations Vice President in compiling figures for the operating budget.
  • Responsible for timely processing and submission of all Private Pay Accounts Receivables, responding to resident and family questions, and ensures resolution of issues or questions related to private pay billing.
  • Responsible for processing accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner, responding to vendor inquiries and discrepancies, reporting to the Executive Director and provides for reconciliation of all accounts payable.
  • Coordinate and update statistical data, and other related facility information as requested.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Residents’ Funds account.
  • Serve as the public relations point of contact with the community as it relates to financial issues (vendor and resident billing concerns).
  • Responsible for facility’s compliance with regulatory guidelines as it relates to billing issues.
  • Serve as staff contact for all financial audits.
  • Manages and distributes the facility certificates of insurance as needed.
  • Be available to give tours of Southfield Village.
  • Assist with clerical needs as assigned.
  • Assist with internal & external written/verbal communications.
  • Responsible for accurate review for Chart of Account numbers relative to payable's
  • Assist with various responsibilities in Business Office
  • Must be available for weekend coverage in the facility on a scheduled basis to ensure residents, visitors, and families are afforded access to Management staff.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Advanced training in accounting or related field preferred.
  • One or more years of practical office administration experience preferred.
  • Three or more years’ experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting preferred.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Duties Include:

  • Check physicians orders with MARS
  • Pass medication & provide treatment
  • Stock and count medication
  • Answer call lights

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds frequently
  • Experienced preferred
  • Strong verbal & written communication

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize needs, workload, & duties

This position has occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Adherence to universal precautions is required.

Schedule/Compensation:

  • Power weekends: Must work every Saturday and Sunday 6-month commitment.
  • Premium pay- receive time and a half on the weekends.
  • Will receive a total of four weekends or (8 weekend shifts) off per year
  • Pay will start at $28.07 and can go up to $38.60 based on experience
