Your Contribution Makes a Difference

Greencroft residents, families, program participants, and staff benefit greatly from the generosity of Foundation donors.

The Robert W. Hartzler Good Samaritan Fund assists Greencroft Goshen assisted living residents who have run out of their own resources, and who don't need the full medical services of a nursing home. Good Samaritan Funds enable residents to reside longer in assisted living.

"Thank you for granting my mother assistance from the Good Samaritan Fund. God has answered our prayers!"

Greencroft's Evergreen Place helps residents thrive by living independently, with some assistance. A gift of $500 helps provide care for one resident for one month.

The Thelma A. Schrock Homestead at Greencroft Goshen ensures a safe and supportive environment for loved ones with dementia, whose families otherwise could not afford such care. Your gift of $59 provides one day of services, including a hot meal and two snacks, planned activities, and enjoyment and interaction with others. A gift of $295 provides one week of care.

"The Homestead has provided my father with a safe, home-like place with wonderful, caring staff, making his days enjoyable, and my days less worrisome."

Some residents living independently don't have enough money to pay for all of their meals. Your monthly gift of $75 ensures that those residents who need it most have prepared, nutritious meals to help keep them their healthiest.

The Greencroft Goshen Community Center is where active adults from across Elkhart County gather to stay busy and learn new things. Your gift of $100 helps to underwrite the cost of support groups, health fairs, art classes, exercise classes, concerts and lectures. Nearly 40 percent of Greencroft's independent living households receive government subsidy and therefore do not participate in underwriting the cost of these activities.

"Thank you for keeping the fees for educational and wellness programs to a minimum. It makes it affordable for me."

Gifts of cash, appreciated assets, or bequests are tax-deductible according to 501(c)(3) IRS guidelines.
