Walnut Hills Earns National Recognitions

Walnut Hills Retirement Community in Walnut Creek was recently recognized as an “America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Community” by Newsweek and as a “Best Nursing Home” by U.S. News & World Report.

The Newsweek ranking was based on national surveys of medical professionals and acquaintances of residents living in CCRCs and accreditation data. Walnut Hills was ranked #19 on the Ohio list of “Best CCRCs” and was in the top 250 in the United States.

The U.S. News ranking places the Walnut Hills Nursing Home in the top 19% of nursing homes in the country. Walnut Hills received a “high performing” rating in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. These ratings were based on data on resident care, safety, outcomes, nurse staffing, and success in preventing emergency room and hospital visits.

The two newest recognitions are in addition to a 5-star rating that Walnut Hills received from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
