Greencroft Communities announces Innovation and Chair Award winners
Greencroft Communities presented its Excellence in Innovation Award and Chair Awards at the annual board dinner on Oct. 13, 2026, recognizing creative initiatives and strong performance across its campuses.
The Excellence in Innovation Award is Greencroft Communities’ highest honor, recognizing initiatives that enhance resident life, team engagement, or operational efficiency. This year’s recipients were Greencroft Goshen and Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
Greencroft Goshen received the Innovation award for The Guber, a resident-focused transportation service that provides flexible, on-demand rides around campus and to nearby destinations. Powered by resident volunteer drivers, the service helps residents maintain their independence, mobility, and connection to the community. Since launching in 2023, average monthly rides have grown from 24 to 199. A sponsorship from Everence has now made The Guber free for all residents.
Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village received the Innovation award for the second consecutive year. This year, Oak Grove was recognized for its Grand Rounds program, which brings clinical leaders and frontline caregivers together to discuss resident concerns, provide real-time coaching, and develop solutions before issues escalate. The program strengthened communication and supported improvements in resident care. Oak Grove reported that its facility-acquired wound rate fell from 7.4% to 5.6%, while overall team member turnover declined from 46% to 26.5%.
The Chair Award recognizes campuses that meet or exceed performance benchmarks across five key areas—service, quality, people, finance, and growth. Awards are presented at the gold, silver and bronze levels based on overall achievement. This year’s honorees were:
- Silver Chair Award: Great Lakes Christian Homes
- Bronze Chair Awards: Greencroft Middlebury and Windsor of Savoy
“Across Greencroft Communities, our teams are finding thoughtful ways to strengthen resident life and support one another. The Innovation and Chair Award winners reflect the creativity, commitment, and strong results that bring our mission to life,” said Hugh Davis, President and CEO of Greencroft Communities.
