Hamilton Grove Stories
Dream On!
We received 54 applications for the 2026 Resident Dreams Program and have fulfilled 27 of those so far. Here are a few highlights...
Bob at Oak Grove
A lifelong Cubs fan, Bob dreamed of attending one more game at Wrigley Field — and more than 20 family members joined him in making that dream come true.
On a beautiful September afternoon, they gathered at the ballpark and watched the Cubs bring home a win!
Mary at Southfield Village
Mary had always dreamed of seeing Willie Nelson in concert. Although attending a concert was no longer possible, a partnership with Rusch Entertainment helped bring an afternoon of Willie’s music to Mary and the entire Southfield Village community.
Jim & Nancy at Southfield Village
Jim and Nancy had much to celebrate: both turned 90 this summer, and they marked 70 years of marriage. Their family submitted a Dreams application in hopes of bringing everyone together for one unforgettable party. With help from Southfield Village team members, dozens of friends and relatives gathered to honor the couple. As the photos show, the Cubs-themed celebration was a home run!
Sadly, Nancy passed away just a few weeks after the celebration. We’re grateful that the Dreams Program brought everyone together to create precious memories for her loved ones.
Peggy, Eunice & Anne at Greencroft Goshen
Not one, not two, but THREE Greencroft Goshen residents shared a dream of viewing the dark night sky again. Limited driving abilities and the bright streets of a Greencroft campus make the simple pleasure of stargazing a challenge. Goshen community member Ray Miller was excited to hear about this dream and the opportunity to share his passion for the heavens with these three ladies.
So, on a crisp October evening, Peggy, Eunice, and Anne – along with Greencroft driver John and Foundation team member Abbe – headed south towards the Potawatomi Wildlife Park near Tippecanoe, Indiana. Ray’s astronomy connections allowed the group to gather in the dark, peaceful park after hours to enjoy spectacular views: the Milky Way, constellations, North Star, and numerous nebula and galaxies that are thousands – or even millions – of light years away.
Sandy at Great Lakes
Sandy had always wanted to go ziplining but hesitated to submit a Dreams application — so her friends submitted one for her. The day of adventure they shared will be one for the memory books!
Jean at Greencroft Goshen
Jean’s dream shows that you’re never too old to enjoy life’s simple pleasures — like a sleepover with a dear friend. Her experience is a reminder to make room for what fills the soul: smiles, laughter, and the joy of reliving decades of memories together.
