Job Duties:

Maintenance of building, equipment and landscaping as well as other tasks required for physical plant operation. Direct supervision for the positions of Maintenance Assistant, Housekeeper and Laundry Attendant including but not limited to department orientation, work assignments and feedback sessions including annual and 90 days.

Schedule:

  • Weekend Rotation (required)
  • Monday to Friday; 8:30am - 5pm

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Maintenance/Grounds management experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of Rules and Regulations of Residential Care Facilities.

Skills and Requirements

  • Good communication skills: ability to read, write, receive, and relay information and instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and materials, tools and equipment used in grounds keeping and gardening. Methods used in planting, pruning, cultivation, fertilizing and caring for plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
  • Ability to maintain Department Budget.
  • Appropriate safety precautions and procedures.

You will be working with the elderly, providing haircare such as perms, haircuts for men and women, shampooing and styling, coloring, waxing or trimming eyebrows and moustaches. We are looking for exceptional candidates to share their talents and that have a very strong customer service mentality.

Requirements:

-- Must have at least 1 year experience working with the elderly.

-- Must be available for two full days of work each week (days).

Scope of Responsibility: Responsible for sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment and keeping area clean. Responsible to complete duties on a timely basis to meet mealtime schedules without assistance. Responsible to cooperate with dietary team members and co-workers.
